My records indicate that Thomas Baxter Queen, son of Robert Henry & Nancy (Franklin) Queen married Jane Sutton. (Note: 1880 Federal Census - Jackson Co, NC - Webster, Page 263D - Thomas B. Queen, age 22, born NC (parents born NC); Sallie J., age 26, born NC (parents born NC) - Neighbors were Henry Sutton and Cissro L. Dills) -----Original Message----- From: queen-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:queen-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of O. Eugene Queen Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 7:46 PM To: QResearchers Subject: [QUEEN] Thomas C. Queen b. ca 1856 Thanks to all who have responded...and others who will respond. 1. Thomas Clingman, grandson of James Smith Queen, is a known as one listmate so well documented. 2. The most likely marriage of Thomas C. Queen, son of B.N. Queen was to a Jane Sutton on 1-11-1880 where a Thomas (NMI) Queen, age 24 married Jane, age 22. The Jackson County Marriage Index lists a T.C. Queen, too young; another Thomas, too old; and a Thomas A., too old. YDNA seems to have confirmed that my John R. of 1854 was not the son of B.N. Queen. We're trying to rule out the illegitimate son of B.N. in another situation; and I believe that we have done so. What's news and baffling to me is Thos. C. Queen, age 14 showing up in B.N. Queen's household in 1870; but not being there in 1860 at age 4.
