    1. [QUEEN] Isaac Queen of ca 1825-1830
    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. I just have to mess with this for a while and get some data summarized for this Isaac. Will welcome any and all attempts to add, delete, correct, link the following: 1. From Reiley's webpage (any typos will be mine): 1850 Cleveland Co., NC census: Charles Queen, 45 (b. NC) Martha, 41 (b. NC) (all following children born in NC) ...Isaac, 21 ...John, 19 ...William, 17 ...Sarah, 15 ...Dickerson, 12 ...Joseph, 10 ...Martha, 8 2. Most, if not all, the following is avail. on Reiley's webpage; but I wanted to put my hands on the census, so I visited the library and made photocopies.) 1860 Cleveland Co., NC census, pg 736 & 737: Isaac Queene, 34 (b. ca 1826) (owns land $40) ...John Queene, 8 ...Thos Queene, 6 ...Pinkney Queene, 4 ...Martha Queene, 2 immediately prior to Isaac (pg 736): John Queene, 30 (owns land $342) Susan Queene, 20 ...Wm E. Queene, 7/12 immediately after Isaac (pg 737) (note the differences in ages from the 1850 census....for every single member of this household! OEQ): Charles Quene, 50 (b. ca 1810) (no land ownership noted) Martha Quene, 45 ...Joseph Quene, 16 ...Dickerson Quene, 18 ...Martha Quene, 12 ...Alfred Quene, 8 15 households from Isaac (pg 738): Joseph Queene, 20 Margret Queene, 20 ...Sarah E. Queene, 3 ...Amanda J. Queene, 1 Nancy Queen, 23 3. Now, this info from Roger in a Feb 12 post to the list: Merideth Queen (b. 1783 in Gaffney, SC) m. Jane Newton (b. 1784 in NC d. 1860) ...George Queen (b. 1797) ...John Queen (b. 1805) ...Charles Queen ......Isaac Queen (b. ca 1825-1830 Cleveland Co.? m. in Cleveland Co., NC d. 1901 in McDowell Co., NC) m. Lucinda Towery (Note: lots of Towry listed on 1830 Rutherford) .........John A. Queen (b. 1852) .........Thomas Lawson Queen (b. 1853) .........Joseph P. Queen (b. 1855) .........Martha E. Queen (b. 1858) .........Mary Jane Queen (b. 1859) .........Margaret C. Queen (b. 1864) .........Dock P. Queen (b. 1866) .........Susan A. Queen (b. 1868) .........Phronis C. Queen (b. 1869) .........Alice Petima Queen (b. 1871) 4. What was the year of birth of Isaac? Was it 1829 (calculated per 1850 census) or 1826 (calculated from 1860 census)? Again, calling on Reiley's webpage; an 1844-45 petition to the General Assembly included the name of Isac Queen. Assuming it was a "proper" signing, he would have had to be 21 (or 18), thus would have had to have been born ca 1823 or 1826. So? Guess we need more dates to choose from. Or, anyone have a coin? 5. Anyone know this Isaac Queen's whereabouts in 1870, 1880, 1900? McDowell Co.?? Gene
