    1. [QUEEN] TN Project
    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. Greetings Friends and Cousins, In a following paragraph I will be making a radical proposal, called the Tennessee Project, to members of QUEEN-L, especially the "old-timers". Please stay with me to the punch line. I joined this list in August 98 and the list was very active at the time. If I recall correctly, Mandy had started the list earlier that year or in the previous year. Anyway, those were exciting times for many of us as new data hit the list daily. Some of us have been able to add to our family links in one way or another through the sharing of data and in the analysis of data. For me, the big break came last year when a listmember discovered a long-overlooked census record. After over thirty years of searching off-and-on, I believe that we have found the father of my Alfred of 1810. Others could share similar stories of success thanks to this list of caring people. For far too long now the list has been fairly quiet. Many of us still have lots of data to digest and file away in one way or the other. And, some of us may have burned-out a bit. But, there's so much we can yet do, to help others if not ourselves. That is exactly what I am proposing. The Tennessee Project: I have not consulted with Mandy, our listowner, concerning this proposal...and she's certainly free to shoot it down. But, the Tennessee Project I am proposing is that we join in to find Mandy and Carol's John Queen, or whoever was the pa of their James Campbell Queen. In doing so, we may also find links for others. Please do NOT send your responses to me. Send your responses to QUEEN-L and direct them to Mandy. Let's fill her mailbox during the next few days with statements of support. Then, let's make it happen. Yes, I still have much work to do with "my" Queens, and I have plans for that; but I am also prepared to devote some of my time in an attempt to find James' pa! How can we help, Mandy? Gene
