Hi Carol and all, I am very grateful that Carol and others post copies of old documents on their web sites. At the same time, this takes nothing from the fact that there are at least two different versions of this Will available to the public. I 've already mentioned the differences in the last name for Sarah as well as the fact that the words on each line do not match. Another example is that the Will on Carol's website has at least seven words (duplicates) marked through. These duplicated and marked through words do not exist as duplicates in the Will in Book D in the Rutherford County Courthouse. It could be that the Will on Carol's Web Site is a photocopy of the actual Will. I just don't know. I do know that, looking at a section of an enlarged copy of the same document posted by Carol, the name Green (in my opinion) clearly appears after the name Sarah. Don't we just love mysteries?
