    3. Katy says "Let's get the others to discuss this group: Here's the schrum: 1.Hampton b. 1796 2.Jamison Queen b. ? 3.William Allen b. 1804 NC? 4. Alfred b. 1808? To MO / Iowa? 5.Pleasant L. b. 1810? To Ark /TX All brothers? WHY NOT? Sisters-- Mary Queen Hall and Letty Queen Hall. FATHER: James Queen? son of William Lewis? Grandfather "Old William" ?" All brothers? Wish it was true but have to take my Hampton born ca 1796 out of there, because in 1825 there was a Hampton born to Sarah Jones and James Queen, born ca 1777. This is the Hampton mentioned in James will. It is my understanding that this is documented by family tradition. Plus you have census showing Hampton in 1860 - Rutherford Co., NC federal census shows Hampton Queen 35M b. NC, Betsey 37F NC, Louisa 16F NC, James 11 NC, Milly 9 NC, Eliza 7 NC, Thomas 1 NC, Sarah 77 NC. (Sarah being James Queens wife, this Hamptons mother.) (Per Reiley's web page.) 1870 - Burke Co, NC, Hampton 45, Elizabeth 46, plus children. Good idea Katy - Hampton had to have siblings somewhere. The dna test tells us that those of us that match at 37 markers share a common ancestor, and just doesn't tell us where and when. I keep looking at William Lewis Sr and clan - just can't seem to find that elusive clue. Anyway - thanks again and waiting for more responses. Glenda
