So it would have been "Pleasant Louellyn Queen", and, if it is as you say, he eventually dropped the "Pleasant" and was called by the name which sounded like "Lou Allen". On the Civil War record Pleasant Sr. is listed as Pleasant L. Queen, so he must be named after his father.
