    1. the name of William Lewis Queen Sr.'s wife
    2. Reiley Kidd
    3. I've recently been contacted by Anne Templeton Wilson, whose husband evidently descends from Edward Jones and Olive Vine (Queen?). She writes: My husband is a descendant of Edward Jones and Olive Vine (most likely Queen) and a daughter of William Lewis Queen and wife. Our Olive Vine was born 1789. Edward was a son of "Blind" John Jones the neighbor of William L. Queen in Rutherford, NC. Now the questions, after amassing a ton of Queen information and digging thru all of it I can find no reference to the wife as Margaret or Margaret Meredith. Also, find in researching early Wilkes Co., GA that there were only a small handful of white men there prior to reaching out to the Indians in 1774 and then the settlers came in. The 1788 Court record of William Queen testifying against the Anderson and Wilsons. There is an Oliff Queen who also testified. At that point in history a single female especially on such a delicate manner usually would not be in court. Could Williams wife possibly be Olive, it would almost seem logical that if a man gave testimony in an "abortion" that the wife would also be included. Just a theory.????? Also would explain the plethora of Olive, Olivevina and so on down the family line. She asks two hard questions: 1. What evidence do we have that William Lewis Queen's wife's given name was Margaret? and 2. What evidence is there that her surname was Meredith? I think that we've hashed the second question out on the list earlier, and concluded that there IS no hard evidence. The first question has me stumped. Can anyone help? And yes, I'm strongly encouraging her to join the list. Demonstrating the power and effectiveness of the list on this question may convince her to join. Thanks, Reiley Kidd Seattle

    3. I show that Edward Jones married an "Olive Wines". Didn't put a source unfortunately, so not sure it's correct. I know that Olive was a popular name in our Queen line. Old William had a daughter named Olive but she was probably born well before 1789. And Joseph H. Queen, had a daughter, Olive Vine Queen, b. 1816 who married Daniel Colley. And Joseph H. married a sister to Edward Jones, Ursula Jones. Maizie Queen Young told me that there were so many Jones families in that area, she could never sort any of them out. Sorry, I didn't even come close to answering either of your questions.
