While surfing the Haywood Co., NC site I found the following information listed on the 1850 mortality schedule: Harmen Queen age: 50; sex: female; Free White; Born: NC; Died: June; Married; Occupation: Farmer; Cause of Death: Fever; # Days Ill: 4 The only person in my database that is a close fit is Harmon Queen s/o Samuel Queen and Dicey Rolls. Harmon's DOB is abt. 1799 and all his children were born in Haywood Co. The fact that the Harmen in question has farmer listed as an occupation leads me to believe that the sex designation as female is a transcription error. Does anyone have information to support or disprove my assumption? Just trying to add a tidbit between diapers and bottles, Charlton
