If there are any descendants/researchers of subject who are interested in the YDNA of one or more living donor candidates thru the reported James Smith Queen (b. ca 1819) lineage; let's talk. I had a very interesting visit in Gaston County yesterday with two descendants and spent some time on the phone this evening with another candidate through another branch. Regretfully, it appears that my "crack-thru" was by marriage. My Alfred's daughter, Amanda Catherine, married one of the sons of James Smith Queen and it appears that my distant cousin who came to Gastonia and roomed with one of the descendants of James Smith Queen was related - but only through this 1883 marriage. I'm still working leads in Gaston County and expect to find a donor through the lineage of another son of Alfred to help answer the question of the DNA of my Alfred. Thanks, Gene
