Thanks to Jean and Katy, we now have more useful information concerning DNA possibilities with Reuben Queen. The reported most recent common ancestor of the donor of kits 24329 and 29369 is none other than Reuben, himself. (Kit 30850 was a mtdna kit) Wide open suggestion in view of the results of these two samples: For now, treat the lineage thru Samuel to Reuben as stopping at Samuel. Treat the lineage thru Elias to Reuben as stopping at Elias. Thus, we're looking for additional donors of the Samuel Queen lineage and of the Elias Queen lineage. Samuel Queen (firstborn son?) (b. 1819 NC d. 1908) m. Jane Petty ...Sterling Queen (b. 1861 d. 1899TX) m. Laura Ann Lee ......Robert Benton Queen (b. 1899 TX d. 1982 TX) m. Viola Smith .........Son .........DNA sample exists from the Robert B. Queen lineage ......Sudie Queen m. Mr. Townsend ......Charlie Queen .........Son 1 .........Son 2 Q: Did this Samuel Queen have other sons? Q: Did this Sterling Queen have other sons? DNA priorities - Find a donor through another son of Samuel if one exists. 2d choice - Find a donor down the Charlie Queen lineage. Objective is to confirm the DNA of kit 29369 and "push" that result as far up the tree as is possible to find the probable point of mutation. Next challenge: Elias Butler Queen, Sr. 6 sons, including Elias B. Queen, Jr. - Who are these 6 sons and are there male descendants of the remaining 5 of these sons? Elias B. Queen, Jr. 8 sons, including Nolan, Sr - Who are these 8 sons and are there male descendants of the remaining 7 of these sons? DNA priorities - Find a donor through another son of Elias Queen, Sr. if one exists. 2d choice - Find a donor down the lineage of another son of Elias, Jr. Objective for this kit 24329 is same as that with kit 29369. Push that mutation as far up the tree as is possible. How can I help? Gene
