Gene, Rolla, etal--the reason we say REUBEN is because that is ALL we can authenticate. Reuben Queen born 1786 [figured from census] born NC, don't know his parents. [Reuben's sons Samuel b.1819 NC and Elias Butler Queen b. 1821 NC came to TN, ARK, and TX-(1848) with Reuben (who died in TX). Reuben b. ca.1786 NC--ca. 1863 Mills Co.? TX. [had only 2 sons, to our knowledge]: Samuel b. ca.1819NC and Elias Butler Queen md. Petty sister md.2nd? Petty sister (only one marriage) 3rd md. M.J. Barber _________Samuel's family: (b. ca. 1821) [not clear on which son], but Sterling Queen is father of #30850 [Ask Jean Moyers]. ________Elias" B's family: 5 dau. 6 sons------------- Son : Elias B. Queen Jr. 1856-1925 4dau. 8 sons; Son Nolan Queen died 1946; then, his son, our Nolan Queen, #24329 of Weatherford, TX. [whose son passed away in 2003?]. Now what do you suggest? Katy
Am I reading the below lineage correctly? If not, I'd appreciate corrections. If yes, then an important question is who is the most recent common ancestor of Kit 24329 and Kit 29369? This question would be of the highest priority for me at the moment. For me, the next highest priorities, in no specific order, would be: 1) Follow-through with a sample from a descendant of Samuel (b. 1819) and 2) Identify the most recent common ancestor of the two kits noted above - then develop a plan to confirm that kit #24329 is the dominant DNA. Funding the samples is not a cause of concern. Funds can be found. What's important at this point is the follow-through on kit 30850 and identifying a "proper" donor for confirming kit 24329.
