Hi, My name is Billy Curtis and I am a descendant of the Gnatty Creek Queens of Harrison/Lewis County, WV. My great-great grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Queen who was married to Isaac Minter Myers. Her line is as follows: Charles Queen and Mary Haley Armstead Queen and Charlotte Norman James N. Queen and Sarah Queen Bennett Armstead M "Amp" Queen and Sophia Carpenter Sarah Elizabeth Queen The James N Queen above has been misidentified as James "Jett" Queen for many years. His mother has been wrongly identified by numerous people as Minnie Jett. All the primary source records indicate he was in fact James N. Queen. It is believed the middle initial stands for "Norman" his mother's maiden name. I am looking to connect with other Armstead Queen descendants. I would especially like to have dialogue with DNA participants from this line.
