    1. [QUEEN] Meredith Queen ca 1775
    2. O. Eugene Queen
    3. Anyone wish to talk about subject. Rumor has it that there are some descendants of this gentleman in Rutherford County to this very day. It also appears that we have two YDNA samples probably representing the Meredith lineage. How many children did this man have? What happened to 'em? Just wondering. Gene

    3. It appears that I stand corrected regarding living descendants of this Meredith in Golden Valley today. On this rainy afternoon I was pondering the YDNA results of the "no mutation" samples. If my data is correct, we have six samples with identical results at the 67 marker level. One of those samples is of a descendant of Samuel Queen of 1759 (another sample of the lineage has a mutation). Two of the samples reportedly represent the Meredith Queen lineage. Then there are the samples of Richard of ca 1766, Isaac of ca 1806 and the Joseph Queen sample. Are there other connections here that we are missing? Just how likely is it that a living donor carries the exact YDNA of old William? For the purpose of discussion/argument, let's suppose that William Lewis Queen, Sr. had a strong lock on his YDNA. Could all the perfect matches (except for the one of Samuel of 1759) link back to Wm L., Sr? Yes/No? Why or why not? I believe that some have concluded that Meredith of 1775 was a son of Wm L., Sr. (That's two samples) If kit 29459 descends from Joseph H. Queen, son of Wm L., Sr,; then that's sample #3. Could Richard Queen of ca 1766 fit as a son of Wm L., Sr? What is the best guess as year of birth of Richard? Then there's Isaac Queen of ca 1806. Anyone care to tinker with this?
