    1. Updates from Lake Queenbegone!
    2. Rolla Queen
    3. OK. It has been a while, so it is time for a brief update. 1) At this point in time, there are no pending new tests awaiting processing at the FTDNA lab. 2) There are 4 pending upgrades at the lab for which results should be trickling in over the next few weeks. After that, we can all just scratch our heads, try to see what to make of it and go strangle some distant Queens who don't know who they are related to into volunteering some DNA so we can continue to make this thing grow. There are answers in the data facing us, we just need to open the eyes wide, and keep pluggin away at solving the riddles. 3) I just updated the webpage to include the latest 12 marker result for an individual who matches perfectly the Group 4 Queens - Charles Queen. 4) This will probably be the last update of the webpage until mid-November. My wife and I will be off celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary travelling the hills and hollers of the olde country, Ireland. I'll post some pictures when I get back - just of the countryside! Just wish I could have found some kinfolk to shake hands with, but there is always next year. Our anniversary is October 31st! It's a long story - needless to say, it makes it easy for me to remember the anniversary date. When I get back we will all get into some serious question and answer sessions. 5) Regarding the inclusion of non-Queens in the Queen study and specific to the Chauncey Poor descendant. A couple of nights ago I was looking through a census record, and I can't remember which one now, and found a Nancy Queen, age 13, living in the household of someone named A. A. Poorhouse (?) - maybe Pourhouse - and I am pretty sure that was a family name, not a real Poor House. So there may be some merit in exploring the census for a connection - i.e. dropping the name to Poor. I think it was the 1870, maybe 1860, Georgia census. Anyway, keep plugging away. I'll check in when I get back and see how much progress you've made. Have a happy all hallow's eve!
