This message is just for those of you on this list who are interested in and conversant with the DNA project on this list, and the process in general. Since Queen is a maternal line for me, I've not followed the discussions, and know very little, other than that it's been informative for several branches of the Queen family represented on this list. I am being recruited to participate in a DNA project now, on my paternal line, and I have just one question - there are apparently several different companies that provide this sort of genetic analysis as it pertains to genealogy. Are they all created equal? Which one does the Queen list use? And can anyone advise me about the company Family Tree DNA, which advertises itself as "America's first genealogy-driven DNA testing service"?
