Hi group, 62nd Regiment, NC Troops - organized with Col. R.G.A. Love as commander.These men were from the western NC counties of mainly Haywood and some from Buncombe, McDowell, and several others. Can't remember them all, and do not have the documentation for the exact info. But this at least gives some location and background on the unit. By the way, this Regiment was captured at Cumberland Gap in September of 1863 and the prisoners subsequently transported to Camp Douglas, Chicago, Ill.
