    3. First: Gene, have you ever seen anything that said Joseph's middle name was Henson? I'm really curious about that. I've always figured it was, but have never recorded it that way because I've never seen it on any document. The following is the information I took from an old sheet of paper that my great-uncle wrote out from notes that had been taken from my greatgrandmother, Katie Colley House, who died in 1960 at 100 years old. Jan 1972 Joe Queen Ursula Queen (Irish descent) sons daughters Creighton Polly Edd Artie Joe Olive Vine and then it goes on to Olive Vine Queen marrying Daniel Colley. I'm not saying that this list is 100% correct, but it came from someone that knew them all. And it does match the census records...........i.e. that they only had 6 children. My greatgrandmother, Katie (Susan Katherine) was still living with her parents, Daniel and Olive Queen Colley in 1880, according to the census. (DeKalb Co. GA) Joseph H. Queen was also living with them. This is the last census he appears on. Joseph H. Queen and Ursula were living in Habersham Co. GA with his son, Wm. C. Queen in 1870. I've got a copy of that census: 1870 Census of Habersham Co. GA PO: Clarksville, GA Wm. C. Queen 49 Farming Real Estate: $500 Personl Prop: $287 POB NC (looks like GA was marked out) Melissa A. Queen 44 Keeping house POB: GA Josephine Queen 15 at home POB: GA Charles F. Queen 12 farm hand POB: GA Geo S. Queen (say this person is F.......whoops! I had always thought it was George S.........a mistake?) 9 POB: GA E. Jane 6 POB: GA Jos. H. Queen 73 farm hand? POB: NC Ursula Queen 75 POB: NC That's the last census Ursula Queen appears on. She must have died and then Joseph H. went to live with his daughter, Olive Colley in DeKalb Co. GA. (Her tombstone says Ollie Colley) BTW, Gene that wouldn't be an error on the 1850 census as Wm. C. was 49 in 1870, making him born in 1821. Just got them out of order maybe. On some of the Wm. Lewis Queen, Sr. pension papers, I found where one was signed by a Isaac Craton. I'm assuming now, this is where the "Creighton" name came from. A relative? Now, I guess I need to figure out is the Geo S. being F. is an error or "she" really was a female. Anyone have a Georgia or something like that in your files? Even though Joseph H. Queen married Ursula Jones and his brother, James married Sarah Jones, Maizie says in a letter to me, that she didn't know if Ursula and Sarah were related as there were so many Jones. But this Sarah wasn't mentioned in John Jones' will, leading me to believe they were not sisters. Another curious thing: Children of Joseph H. and Ursula: Joseph A. b. 1828 and then in1837 Artie E. Queen comes along. A big spread! And after seeing The Patriot last night, it got me curious about what happened to the land (287 acres, I think) that Wm. L. Queen, Sr. received in Wilkes Co. GA for his service in the Revolution? Anyone have any records about that? Sorry this is so long!
