Hi Reiley and all, I appreciate all the analysis I can get....so a great thanks to Reiley. A continuing challenge is to find Samuel of 1776-1780 on an 1810 and 1800 census (or other document) since it appears that he was a pa between 1795-1804. And, of course, to find him and his children after 1830. Hoping, but not expecting, luck in Habersham. Interesting, to me anyway, Caney Fork "development". Have been trying to find info on Michael Long of 1830 Haywood census...3 houses from Joseph and Samuel Queen. Visited my 86 year old Aunt Flora Long yesterday and was sketching out the Caney Fork area and plotting houses of the 1930's era. Lights finally started flashing as she spoke of Uncle George Long's aunt Nancy Middleton, etc. Uncle George CAME from the Caney Fork area. So, this evening at the library, chased back to his grandpa, George Marion Long, age 37 on 1880 Jackson County, Caney Fork census. Wonder if I can chase "grandpa Long" back to the Michael Long on the 1830 census??? Oh well. Gene
