Vicky, The book doesn't mention any further info for Hambee/Hamby first husband of Ruth Queen. Shirley Adair author of the book is descended from the Upton/Bracketts. She may have further details. Her e-mail is Shirley@Adair.net I know she is currently doing a revision to the book. Queen researching is confusing to me also. If Ruth is d/o of Henson Queen then this would be Henson born c1740's, correct? I think I remember seeing somewhere that Ruth Upton died in Macon Co, NC but maybe incorrect. But if Ruth were born in c1760s could this not be her in 1850,(give or not a few). Felix Brackett is aligned in the book as being possible son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Upton Brackett. Felix moved to Habersham, Co, GA with Queens, Joseph, Hugh and Samuel living nearby. Felix married ?Jane Asynthia/Sena/Cynthia Queen. I use Jane as part of her name because in the 1850 census of Habersham she is listed as Jane but all other years as Asinthe/Ascenitha and was born between 1809-12NC according to which census you are reading. Which Queen family does she belong to? Becomes very confusing with Uptons/Queens/Bracketts. Then, Felix's daughter, Elizabeth marries Meriday Queen and lives in Union Co, GA. And of course, my Mary Queen, unidentified, born c1824NC marries Thomas Brackett of Rutherford Co, NC; and they move to Union CO, GA in mid 1840's. I don't know where they were married. So two more QUEEN women to add to the adoption list. I am sure one day these puzzles will fit. Take care, Betty >From: "Vicky" <vhutch@lebanon.total-web.net> > >My mistake.
