    1. [QUEEN] Catherine Queen Jones
    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. Somewhere it is written, "ask and ye shall receive". I am aware that I do lots of asking; but hopefully I give a bit as well. Here's another round. I'm interested in info regarding the Josiah Jones who lived xdoor to James Queen, pg 16 Macon Co, NC 1830 census. This James was possibly/probably the James H. Queen b. 1808 who married Isabella Bryson. Further, James of 1808 was probably the son of Samuel Queen of 1776-80 who appears on the 1820 and 1830 Haywood County census. Further, this Samuel could well have been a son of William Lewis Queen, Sr. Now.... It has been reported that Wm Sr. had a daughter, Catherine (b. ca 1774 m. 2-13-1806 in Rutherford) m. to Josiah Jones. On the 1820 Rutherford census, a Josiah Jones lived 4 houses from Wm. Queen, SR. I've seen no other data posted concerning Josiah and Catherine Queen Jones (other than someone has a 1772 date for Catherine and another has a Catherine Queen b. 1842 in Holmes Co., MS m. Josiah Jones). I'm seeking more info for reasons obvious in the above paragraph. Here's what I have taken from marriage and census records. I do not know if it is the same man or if it is Catherine. I've converted age ranges to YOB ranges: 1806-2-13 Josiah Jones m. Catherine Queen in Rutherford Co., NC 1810 Have not located. 1820 Rutherford Co., NC, pg 390 Josiah Jones M (b. 1775-1794) F (b. 1775-1794) M (b. 1804-1810) F (b. 1804-1810) M (b. 1810-1820) F (b. 1810-1820) F (b. 1810-1820) 1830 Macon Co., NC, pg 16 Josiah Jones M (b. 1780-1790) F (b. 1780-1790) F (b. 1810-1815) M (b. 1815-1820) M (b. 1815-1820) F (b. 1815-1820) M (b. 1820-1825) 1840 Where are they? Did they also go to Habersham Co, GA? I've ordered the microfilm to review. Index reflect Queen on 137, 148; Jones on 139, 141, 153. 1850 Where are they? Habersham index reflects Queen on 239A; Jones on 240B, then more on 256B and following. Can anyone shed any light on the Catherine Queen/Josiah Jones family? Names of any of the children? Critique of the above census data is welcomed. Gene
