I've gotten from somewhere -- notes still in box -- that at least one Bryson son had moved back to North Carolina after the Revolution, during which they'd all been in Upstate South Carolina. (I've seen transcriptions of documents on the family in at least one of the Pendleton District books.) I'm finally at the point where I can say I expect to be able to make some return visits to Haywood and Jackson Co. Registrars of Deeds offices in the foreseeable future (probably after Labor Day, due to the heat and my outdoor pets). I did make some notes in both counties late in '98, but I apparently only hit the surface. (I've got several lines in both counties.)
