    3. Hi All Some time back I lost all the information on my pc, including the info on the disk. Luckily I copied to paper. The problem is, digging out the packed up box and locating the info. However I can tell you this, (mostly came from my grandmother who passed several years ago ) I posted the line of Queen's in Rabun Co. GA. Do any of you have this information? All the Queen's who lived in Rabun, Towns and Habersham County, GA did come from NC. For various reasons they came to Habersham Co, back to Rabun Co, back to NC the back to GA again. I did find information in Habersham Co. GA where they had bought land and resold it. I believe this buying and selling land was common back then and this is one of the reasons we find records of individual's being listed in different areas at the same time. My g grandpa, his brother and his son all bought land in Habersham Co. GA. The three were listed as being residents there on Habersham Co.. My g grandpa lived in Rabum Co and was also listed as a resident at the same time. His brother was a resident of NC and the son also a resident of Rabun Co. GA. The three were listed twice, in different areas at the same time. When there were only the buckboards and buggies to travel they still spent time traveling long distances to visiting their relatives who lived across the mt's in another state. Once my granddad Lester, son of Samuel P. and Sarena Hunnicutt Queen had left my g mother who was pregnant and he didn't come back for almost three mo's. He had traveled to NC with his dad and an uncle to visit family. On this trip they went to Towns. Co GA, back to NC, to VA and then back home in GA. They had purchased land on this trip. Where, I do not know. (Grand mama had her baby while he was gone. She said some of little children ran and cried because they didn't know their dad when he came home. I believe it cause my Dad shaved his handlebar mustache and my baby sister who was four would not have anything to do with him for a week or so.) I have searched for information on my g-dad but could never find anything. He was a Martial and traveled a great deal. He must have stayed home some because he fathered 15 children. Anyway I have recently found out, information on Marshal's and Ranger's can NOT be found. It is almost as though they didn't exist. Thought this may help some of you. I just wish that I had know how important my grand mama's stories were. They interested me when I was a child but I could not see any reason for remembering anything other than the exciting parts of her stories. Wish all of you a great New Year! Diann Q. Williams
