    1. [QUEEN] Queen Puzzle
    2. Don Queen
    3. This sounds like the final exam for your genealogy license, but it's a fact. My Uncle was born John Marion Queen, but he always hated his middle name. Therefore, he took the name of his favorite uncle John Robert Queen for most of his adult life, but did not go through a legal name change. When his first son was born, he named him John Robert Queen Jr.. A few years later my uncle had his name legally changed to John Robert Queen. His son named his son John Robert Queen I and that son just named his son John Robert Queen II. The questions are : 1 - Was John Robert Queen Jr. properly named, since his fathers legal name was John Marion.? 2 - What affect did the name change of John Marion have upon his son's existing name.? 3 - What are the correct names of the children and grandchildren.? The Queen site has been quiet lately, so maybe this conundrum will liven things up. I've read special rules apply if you're named after an uncle, but I'm baffled by the name adoption and later legal change. Merry Christmas to ALL my Queen Cousins Don Queen
