Mandy and all, I checked the censuses again quickly today. When I read 63 in the 1860 census I see that the number is probably actually 43. The four was weird, but that makes more sense and then fits into the 32 for the 1850 census. I was hoping that perhaps Johnson/Johnston was somewhere living alone in the 1840 census. However, I could not find him in TN or KY or IND.
