Thanks to the participation, either with funding or providing samples, by a number of descendants of Alfred Queen of 1810 we now have two more samples in the works. Kit 38162 is a sample of my brother, Boyd. Kit 39018 is a sample from a descendant of Joseph Thadius Queen (b. 9-6-1875 Jackson County). Joe was a brother to my grandfather, William Monroe Queen. With this latest sample, all three sons of Rev. James Henry Queen (b. 1847) will be represented in the DNA project. Alfred Queen had 7 sons, however 1 son remained single and 1 son had only female descendants. This leaves 5 sons with possible donors. Two of the sons are respresented, I'm still begging descendants of two other sons. I'll begin work on the lineage of the one remaining son. Clearly the Alfred Queen lineage is blessed with a number of male descendants that allows for broad DNA participation. It is my hope that other lineages will benefit from what we learn from mutations in the Alfred Queen lineage. Gene
