    1. [QUEEN] Queens and Parkers & Roll Call
    2. Linda
    3. The way I posted my message came out wrong; I'm not descended from a Queen and Parker marriage, just both families in different ways. My direct Queen lineage: William Queen William Lewis Queen Sr. Virginia Jane "Jennie" Queen md. Joshua Hall Jr. Elbert Hall Ansel Jameson Hall William Elbert Hall Florence C. Hall md. Rufus Wm. Owen Arthur T. Owen, Sr. me, Linda Owen Anders My direct Parker line is because of the Owen connection. However, I have LOTS of Queens and Parkers in my database who married into my families. I like to trace as many of them as possible because I never know when I'll find something "new", to me! I have Texanna in my database as my 3rd cousin 4 times removed, however that's figured! I have names of 3 husbands for Texanna but no dates on her and no children listed. I also have Reuben R. and Fannie Parker Queen in my database. I'll be glad to share what I have. I see that Reuben and Fannie were cousins through John R. and Mary Coward Queen. 3. Maisie was a huge contributor to the Queen story. Her writings are available in the North Carolina archives. They form the basis for much of what we discuss on a regular basis. 2. Linda
    3. Gene, was the Matilda Cogdill who md. Samuel Queen (b. 1859) the dau. of John C. Cogdill? Did the DNA results not show Alfred as related to Wm. Lewis Queen Sr.? There are just too many common first names in the two lineages for them not to be related, besides the fact that they were in the same locale! However DNA has proven me wrong before! I would have SWORN that there couldn't be two separate Owen families who lived at Wolf Mountain in Jackson Co. NC, but there were! Linda P.S. Please note I have a new email address.

    2. Hi, My name is Billy Curtis and I am a descendant of the Gnatty Creek Queens of Harrison/Lewis County, WV. My great-great grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Queen who was married to Isaac Minter Myers. Her line is as follows: Charles Queen and Mary Haley Armstead Queen and Charlotte Norman James N. Queen and Sarah Queen Bennett Armstead M "Amp" Queen and Sophia Carpenter Sarah Elizabeth Queen The James N Queen above has been misidentified as James "Jett" Queen for many years. His mother has been wrongly identified by numerous people as Minnie Jett. All the primary source records indicate he was in fact James N. Queen. It is believed the middle initial stands for "Norman" his mother's maiden name. I am looking to connect with other Armstead Queen descendants. I would especially like to have dialogue with DNA participants from this line. But through the DNA project, I know that there are at least 2 others who might be from this same family. Starting with my oldest known Ancestor here it is. JAMES CAMPBELL QUEEN born May 7,1819 TN. Newborn and had 3 children from that marriage. CHILDREN OF THIS MARRIAGE: 1. CHARLES FRANKLIN QUEEN bn October 1,1856 married to Nancy Ann Ray 2, PRISCILLA N. ALLAMANTE (MENTIE_ QUEEN bn.
