    2. In a message dated 4/19/05 9:55:39 AM Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: > The Charles F. (Frank) Queen [b: June 22, 1888] you mention is the son of > Uncle Charlie Thornton Queen, and grandson of Joseph B. Queen. > This Charles Queen died December 15, 1965 in DeKalb county, Georgia, although he lived in Walton county, Georgia. His father, Charles Thornton Queen, died June 14, 1952. There was also a Charles Queen, born January 20, 1895 in Habersham county, Georgia, and son of Charles Frances Queen (a grandson of Joseph H. Queen and Ursula Jones) but his trail, as well as that of his entire family, runs cold after 1920 in Walton county, Georgia. (they were in Habersham county in 1917). So it appears that we are looking for another Charles Queen.. Tom

    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. Let's not stop here, Jimmy. There may be some clues in here. If....it was your Charles Frank Queen...who attended the 1981 reunion in Epworth, GA; then why did he come from Walton County up to Fannin County to attend a Queen reunion??? Was your Charles Frank Queen living as late as 1981? Who has a photo of him and can positively ID him as this Charles of your lineage? Surely someone does. If you can answer the important questions in the positive; then I know where I can get my hands on a photo of some sort of the Charles Queen that attended the 1981 Fannin County REunion. If they don't match, no loss. If they do match; then a field day opportunity for research?? 1. Re: [QUEEN] Charles Queen in GA b. ca 1890
    2. Hi Gene Thanks for the tidbit. Joseph "Jodia" H. Queen [b: February 05, 1860] is the son of Joseph B. Queen. The Charles F. (Frank) Queen [b: June 22, 1888] you mention is the son of Uncle Charlie Thornton Queen, and grandson of Joseph B. Queen. Joseph M. (Mearon) Queen [b: October 01, 1902] you mention is also the son of Uncle Charlie Thornton Queen, and grandson of Joseph B. Queen. Uncle Charlie Thornton Queen is the third son and fourth child of eight children that Joseph B. and Permelia C.[Hawk] Queen had. This information was gathered from descendants of the above mention people, which are in all cases my next of kin, or. From the Home of Jimmy and JoAnne Redmond Sr

    1. Aaron H Queen
    2. Luann Furtado
    3. Looking for information on Aaron H. (? Hugh) Queen listed on the 1910 US census, Logan county, Arkansas as a 2 year old with parents, Johnny W. Queen and Josephine. I believe he is probably the same Aaron Hugh Queen who is listed in the California Death Index. This index lists him as born in Arkansas March 2, 1908 and died Tulare county, California February 9, 1989. It also lists his mother's maiden name as Mitchell. I believe Aaron Hugh Queen's wife to have been Pearl Pauline Harp, born Arkansas June 24, 1908 and died Tulare county, California on August 1, 1995. Possible son of Aaron and Pearl is: Elbert Ray Queen, born Oct 20, 1932 in Oklahoma and died Feb 18, 1995 in Tulare county, California. I think this Aaron Queen is the grandson of Green Calvin Queen and the great grandson of John Queen of Tishomingo county, Mississippi (born in North Carolina). Anyone familiar with this family? Luann

    1. Charles Queen in GA b. ca 1890
    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. A tidbit that may be of help to Jimmy or someone. A "Charlie" Queen was the oldest Queen (at age "90 something") at the 1981 Isaac Queen family reunion in GA. If Charlie (or Charles) was a Georgia man, then the 1930 GA census reflects a Charles F. Queen of the right age. Charles is with Alice G Queen and family. In Walton County as next door or close neighbors were families of: Joseph H. Queen, age 70 Charles (S?), age 66 Joseph M., 27 It was thought that this Charlie may have been from NC in 1981; but I see no Charles of the right age on the 1930 census of N.C. or TN. It may be possible to obtain a photo of this "Charlie" Queen. Gene

    1. Re: [QUEEN] Queens in North Georgia/Queen Reunions in North Georgia
    2. O Eugene Queen
    3. I believe that Diann and I are speaking of two different Queen reunions. The reunion of the descendants of Isaac Queen is the one of which I speak. The annual homecoming and decoration at Mobile Baptist Church (located on the Old Mobile Road near the city of McCaysville in Fannin County, GA) is held the 2d Sunday of June each year. This is where the folks gathered after the meal. In 2000, the "reunion" of the Queens was held in the picnic shelter at Lebanon Baptist in Epworth, I believe; then we drove to McCaysville to Mobile Baptist. Mrs Deward (Delsie) Queen's phone number should be in the Epworth, GA listings. She was my contact for the reunion. I can provide additional contacts for anyone interested in attending this year's reunion. 3. Hey, Listers, When I got my computer in 1997 I started entering my "found" Queen items in a separate list. Most of it was about Queens I didn't know. I call it my KSM List and give each item a number, in sequence. I'm up to about 300 so far. So I'm sending you some of my "unknown" items: KSM Item # 1 from 1987: Indiana Census Index Book: 1840 Indiana: Sullivan County #29 -- Queens appearing in Indiana 1840 & 1850.. "Garnet, Hadden T. (227); Ellenbough 390-393." KSM: #2 [Who is this? Born 1816?]: MACON CO, NC 1850 Census: John Queen, 34, has son Butler Queen.. KSM Item #4 1860 Williamson Co TX census lists Joshua Hawkins, wife Dorcas [both from GA & both buried are buried at Queen Hill Cemetery] and their children. Also with the family are Martinio Jordin who is 10, born in ARK and Joshua Thomas, 4 ARK. [I think Hawkins must have worked with the Queens on the horse ranch.] Martinio Jordin: appears later as Mantinio Nordin [possible spelling: Naudain] in "The Call of the San Saba: History of San Saba County" TX. [I know there were Naudains in TN--anyone kin to the Naudains?] [The Queens, Dawsons, Daltons, [Shaw School], Petty, Williams, Barbers were here, too]. John Dalton of KY married Rebecca Naudain, his son John Wesley Dalton, born 1864 TX married a GA girl, Bessie Queen [father: James M.Queen of GA, mother was Martha--Bessie was born 1869 in GA]. E.G. Queen here also.] There is more in KSM Item #24 if you need it. Just request it by number. Katy [email protected]
