    3. JB Amable Cousineau died in Michigan, according to a web site belonging to Nancy Cousineau (which may not exist any longer). She listed a death date of 24 Jul 1804 at St Antoine, River Raisin, MI. findagrave.com has a listing for his grave: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/106592666/jean-baptiste_amable-cousineau Jim Lahue On 7/22/2018 3:03 AM, [email protected] wrote: > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Date: Sun, 22 Jul 2018 07:28:14 +0000 (UTC) > From: franalm <[email protected]> > Subject: [Q-R] looking for burial J.B. He is alive at daughter's marriage 5 Feb 1804 and dead at son's marriage 23 Nov 1806. Not showing up on PRDH search. Both marriage records have his wife as deceased (she died 1803) and parents being of parish of St. Eustache. Her burial record is in the St. Eustache records. Could not find his there. > > If anyone can find a burial record him, I would be most appreciative. > >

    3. Thank you Jim. As I just advised Joyce, there is something seriously amiss with the Find a Grave info. It may be him - the date and place of birth is correct, as is the mother's name - but it has his father as Jean Noel. Jean Noel was actually his grandfather. So until I can find someone who has a primary source for this death I can't be sure it is him. 3. While findagrave can be helpful when the information comes from the headstones, in this case, it seems like the information is from a book. REF: Souls of St. Antoine's Cemetery Of Frenchtown, Monroe County, Michigan & Their Heroines, page 18. You could try to contact the person who posted it, and see if they own this book so you can check what is actually written there - is there a transcription error at findagrave, or is the information is the book wrong. 3. A church history at https://sites.google.com/site/20mr229/st-antoine-parish-1788-1845 says : The marriage, baptism, and burial registers of St. Mary's parish (including its predecessor St. Antoine) total 21 volumes which are continuous from the beginning date of 1794 through the mid-twentieth century. These were photographed and placed on microfilm in the 1950s and are the property of the Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. More info at http://www.stmarymonroe.org/genealogy.html Good luck!
