YES, it means only Canadian! You have to look closely at the choices before making a decision. Sadly, Ancestry is not cheap. However, familysearch.org is entirely free and has records from all over the world. Lots are indexed, some are not but voluteers continually work to add more all the time. Thanks Frances. I do use Family Search and have transcribed literally thousands of records for them. It's my go to site. I recently donated my services to make a family tree for a charity auction. A genealogy buddy let me use her Ancestry account for this. I found things on Ancestry that Family Search simply did not have. I was surprised at that. The document I found on Ancestry really got the whole tree going. It was invaluable.  Yes, Ancestry is not cheap!! When I subscribed a number of years ago to the .ca site I was able to view American records. I guess they changed it. Dang.
