Genevieve Chartier was one of 5 children born to Charles Chartier & Louise Lemaitre, but Genevieve, the only girl was the sole survivor. The male siblings died in infancy. I decided to fill in a few missing pieces for my 5th great grandparents and without too much difficulty found their births, marriage and death info. Looked at "Public Family Trees" on Ancestry for this couple in case I recognized a "Tree". I was astounded to see that many had recorded their births with correct years but placed them in the United States, not in Quebec. Interesting to see how one error begets another!
