Bev, Is there a way to download a GED file from your online free on Ancestry.com? If you can do this, anything you have online will be saved to this file and you should be able to open it with your genealogy program. Most family tree type programs will open these. If you get this accomplished, I will most certainly backup all your data on a disk or flash drive or something so you have it saved in case you ever have this type of trouble again (saved somewhere off your computer). Just some thoughts/suggestions. Good luck to you in getting this resolved.
