Beverly, I'm so sorry as I know the feeling, but, as they say, nothing is really gone from your computer. Options: get a recovery program and try and recover them yourself or take it to a reputable computer service/repair and pay them to recover (they also would be able to give you some idea of any loss you would suffer). Others with more computer expertise may be able to give you additional assistance. I wish you the best.
