Hi Bev, It's been a long time since we have corresponded! I'd ask how you've been, but I think the answer would be "fine until now" :-( So sorry for this problem but there must be a way out of it. I saw that you have a tree at ancestry.com, so if you are using your program in conjunction with the ancestry.com tree, you should call them for help. I have read about people having this type of problem from time to time. You should be able to restore your FTM files from your ancestry tree, I hope. They have a help forum here http://ancestryforums.custhelp.com/hives/be6669975a/summary I am still using my ancient version of FTM - Version 9. In that program, when you shut down, it automatically saves a backup file. Look in your help section to see if your version does the same thing. If so, you should be able to open from that.
