Bev, You didn't say whether or not you lost other files - as in a computer crash, etc.  It would be very odd for just one Family TreeMaker file to disappear.  This may seem obvious, but if you have not done so already do take a thorough tour of your Family TreeMaker folder(s)..  Mary
