William Douse & Esther Young were married New Year day 1825 in P.E.I. and had 12 children. If any one descend from that couple, there's a 2 page story in the Toronto Star today, on William born in 1800 in England, died in 1864 and his buried in a crypt in P.E.I. For a family reunion they had been told to bring whatever tools might help in opening and excavating the crypt in which the aforementioned William Douse, or at least his remains, had lain undisturbed for 150 years. He was a politician, a shipbuilder, an innkeeper, a brewer of what he called "table beer" and porter - "wholesome liquor made from pure malt and hop." He was a merchant and auctioneer and, briefly, a police constable and one-time fire warden of Charlottetown Anyone interested can access the story at <http://www.thestar.com/news/insight/2014/08/17/william_douse_a_family_reuni on_taps_into_history.html> http://www.thestar.com/news/insight/2014/08/17/william_douse_a_family_reunio n_taps_into_history.html He was quite a character and had a great career,, the article is very interesting.
