    3. I asked my cousin Yvon if he could comment on some messages that included a Marie Crete and his reply follows: Joyce ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Yvon Crête <y.crete@videotron.ca> Date: Thu, May 1, 2014 Hi Joyce. - I just can confirm Renee's information: it was a catholic rehabilitee marriage following a first marriage in a protestant ceremony held 25 years before. This information was written in the catholic St. Alphonse marriage registration. Robert Clermont and Vitaline Périard married in March of 1886 rather than May as being written by Jack Leclair. Their son Pierre Clermont was born in 1864 or 1865, and was probably registered in a protestant church. Regards. Would you be able to add any other information we could pass along Joyce Looking for the DOM and any other information for Robert Clermont and Vitaline Périard/Périllard. BMS has a date of 1886-05-25 at St-Alphonse, Hawkesbury, Ont. But, their(?) son, Pierre married Marie Crete on 1892-06-27. (6 yrs old?) Is this Robert's second marriage? St-Alphonse's records in that time frame were unreadable or missing.. Could someone check on Ancestry for me, please? Thanks in advance, Jack Leclair Hi Jack I found that 1886 marriage record. It was a rehabilitee marriage. The couple had been married for about 25 years in a protestant ceremony. The first marrige was about 1861 Sending you the record separately. Good luck Renee ~
