Hi I'm doing research into the above couple who were married on the 23rd November 1830 who were both living in the parish of Bourcherville, Quebec. Edouard's parents were Noel BELAN and Therese BORDALONE from Lapointe in the Tremble district of Quebec. Marie Anne HUET dit DULUDES parentes were Jean Baptiste HUET dit DULUDE and Marie Desanges GILIMEAN/Gelinot. Edouard and Marie Ann were married in the St. Antoine de Pade Cathedrale Longueil. We have found the baptism of their daughter Harriet (aka Selian) Belan in Quebec in 1831. I have a copy of the baptismal certificate from the Drouin records but cannot make it out really. Would like to know more about the family in Quebec and if possible find out when they arrived from France. I have all the information on Selina who first married a Ziba BENWAY ( who was Canadian also/Catholic) then Selina/Harriet married Samuel DENNY/DENIS in Clayton NY where she died in May 1914. She had 4 children two to her first marriage and two to her second. Any help finding more on this family would be great. Many thanks Dianna from Australia.
