    3. I was really hoping someone would come up with a good resource for searching Poulin, as I have a mystery man. Louis Poulin was born about 1802 in Quebec and married Marie-Charlotte Gonthier 9 Nov 1819 in St. Charles, Bellechasse, Quebec as Louis blank. His tuteur (guardian) was present and listed as Joseph Poulin. I found him in my great-grandfather John Baptist Rousseau's Civil War pension papers as Louis Foley, but do not know if he was born a Foley. I found Louis & Charlotte listed as Procher in the 1851 census in Quebec city, but the name is quite clear as Poulin. They are on image 1557/13774 or p 776, with Angele 24, Nazaire 16, Guillaume 14, and Rose 10. Somewhere in the mists of ancient research, I found Charlotte dying 8 Oct 1850 somewhere in Quebec province. I suspect she may have died in Quebec city. The family seems to have crossed the border in 1853 according to the 1860 US census where his son Nazaire Poulin is found in Brown County, Wisconsin (Bellevue) as John Foley. Is anyone familiar with this family? Folks like this drive me crazy. Patricia
