    1. [Q-R] Mystery of Leclerc Family
    2. To All: My Aunt married a Leclair. His Parents were Joseph Leclair & Sophie St. Michel. They were married in 1852 in MA-Worcester. It says his Parents are John & Margaret. When Joseph died in MI his children put Joseph as the Father of their Dad. Joseph was born in 1829 in Quebec. Joseph & Sophie were his Grandparents. They moved to New Hampshire at least they were there in 1870. Several of the children were born there. I can't find a John Leclerc & Marguerite who work out right. I found a Joseph Leclerc who married Marguerite Bouvier Sept. 12, 1820 at St. Ours. I found these children born to them there.Antoine in 1823-Ignace in 1827,, Jean Baptiste in 1825 Marie in 1830, Norbert in 1832, Judith in 1833. I have never found a Joseph born to them. However, I never find them again--Not on a 1851 Census or 1861. No children being married in Quebec. They were married under Leclerc--I used that--Leclair, Leclaire, Laclare LeClair & others. They all just disappeared. Joseph's wife Sophie St. Michel was found. Her Parents were Alexis St. Michel & Appoline Fugere-Champagne. I have further information on them. My Leclair cousins are having a big reunion here this summer & all are looking for the Leclair information. I thought I had the track with Joseph Leclerc & Marguerite Bouvier but I guess that is wrong. I can't seem to find a John & Marguerite who fit in. I've been trying for months Thanks for any help.
