BATAVIA, N.Y. -- Police in Genesee County are looking for vandals who overturned more than two dozen headstones in a Batavia cemetery. The superintendent of Elmwood Cemetery, which is located on Harvester Avenue, says he believes the damage took place two weekends ago. In 2006, three teenage girls were arrested for toppling 80 headstones in that same cemetery. ( I did this cemetery last year and it was beautiful, also where they had a large bronze statue of the Angel of Death, a female. Best, Bill ) Glad I got to see it before this recent vandalism.
