Hi, Following Mona's most correct appraisal of the situation, I have conferred with Marcel Fournier, coordinator of The Fichier Origine. As some of you might know, I am the scientific adviser to the Fichier Origine. Also, the PRDH benefits from the Fichier as it betters its information, so we weant to be coherent in the information we offer. It is very tempting to add more info found in France but our enthusiasm has to be tempered with a very necessary prudence. Most will recognize that the quality of our work and our attention to new information makes the PRDH the reference for the genealogy of Quebec French-Canadian genealogy of the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries. So before sending out on the internet the names of the parents of Marin Boucher, even with a caveat (that no one will take into account), we have to be especially careful. The identification of the Jeanne baptized in 1601 as the Jeanne who married Thomas Hayot is just a hypothesis because Jeanne's parents are not named in her marriage act. There are many Boucher families in Mortagne and the surrounding areas; the date of the baptism is five years off her age at marriage (aged 22 in the 1629 marriage). So if you go back to the Fichier Origine, you will find that the name of the parents have been removed from Jeanne's and Marin's files, and the date of ! the baptism of Jeanne also. Remains a note in jeanne's file about the existence of that baptism. Thank you Mona for your interventions... Well, THAT was a wild ride for a couple of days! And I did get my question answered, believe it or not. Fichier Origine is straightened out, I know that Jeanne and Marin may be siblings according to the marriage contract between her daughter Marie and Thomas Hayot/Hayet or Ayotte, and all is well. I would love to find that contract, and will be looking around for days to come. Thank you every one!
