This same source gave the birth record of Joseph Hamel as 6 SEP 1743 in Sainte Croix, Lotbiniere, Quebec with baptism the following day. The birth and baptism of daughter Esther Hamel that you referred to is shown in Drouin/Ancestry as the baptism taking place in Marieville on 25 June 1825 with the birth having taken place on 28 April 1824. At the same baptism ceremony was that of sister Lucie Hamel, born the 26 April 1824 and with grandmother Lucie Lemay as godmother. Cheers!
