* UPDATE NEWSLETTER Number 70 - 1 April 2014 * INTRODUCTION ^^^^^^^^^^^^ * We sincerely thank those kind and thoughtful folks who supported us over the years. This support has been in the form of gas cards or cash donations including Paypal transfers, to help defray our expenses; especially the high gasoline costs to reach distant cemeteries. Support was also provided from people volunteering to photograph their local cemeteries. * BACKGROUND....!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ * 1. The Canadian Gravemarker Gallery, provides free access to everyone and has over 1,350 completely photographed cemeteries and 820,000 grave marker photographs online. Many of our photos also display inscriptions for same-name children/relatives which are displayed in our photos. Thus, the total number of buried souls shown in our online photos easily surpasses the one million mark. * 2. Over the past 14 years, we posted a complete text version of our Monthly Newsletter on these Rootsweb Mailing Lists. This included a list of the new cemeteries added to our website over the past month. Some new readers found it time consuming to navigate to a listed cemetery on the website. * 3.
