Well I was way off the beam on the "Joseph" entry and since that isn't what you were looking for, perhaps this will help: It is the marriage at Beauceville, Parish of St-Francois on 20 August 1816 of Jean Poulin adult s/o Charles Poulin & Angelique Vachon dite Pomerleau of St-Joseph of the first part; and Marie Louise Cressac minor d/o Charles Cressac dit Toulouse & Therese Quirion of this parish. PRDH shows that there was a marriage at St-Francoise-de-Beauce in 1787 between Charles Cressac Toulouse & Therese Quirion Daniel. Good morning Selma: Notice that the marginal entry is "de St. Joseph. The reference is to the fact that the family was from the neighboring parish of St. Joseph-de-Beauce as were other members of our ancestor's family at that time. The traditional phrase "de cette paroisse" is omitted, but the curé was not in the habit of using that phrase anyway.
