The way the marriage record reads, all children listed are Louis & Philomene .....they were legitimizing them............there was some reason why they weren't married before ....either in the US ( Lacolle is near the border ) or he waited for his wife to die. I can pretty easily pick out the dates and names, but the children listed later in the register are very odd. I can’t believe they are the children of this couple. I’ve noted the family in a census, but almost dismissed it as the children could not be the offspring of the couple as the ages don’t make sense. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
