NEW BEDFORD — Thirty-two headstones were tipped over at a cemetery in the city’s North End, police said. Detective Lt. John Chaves said the incident at the Pekham West Cemetery was reported on Thursday around 1:15 p.m. “That’s the old section of the cemetery because they were all older headstones,” he said. There are no suspects, he said.
