There is no cost to sign up for facebook, and you can make your page as private as you want it to be. I signed up for a few facebook groups when it seemed like there were less posts on genealogy lists like this. This is a very active list, but many of the the others I belong to have dwindled down to hardly any posts at all. It seems like everyone has moved to facebook and the blogs. Although some of the facebook groups are good [like the quebec group :-) others are not so great. It's hard to go back to find old messages, and in some cases, people delete their posts after they get their answers! I like the lists much better, Lisa lisa.lepore2@gmail.com > -----Original Message----- > From: quebec-research-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:quebec-research- > bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Patricia LeBeau via > Sent: Saturday, October 04, 2014 10:32 AM > To: quebec-research@rootsweb.com > Subject: [Q-R] QR and Facebook > > Then too many of us are not signed up for Facebook and have no desire > to be.
