Possibly about 1847/48 as first child John (Jean?) was born Canada about 1849. Jean was possibly born about 9 August 1820, maybe St Ours?? Other census records could be from 1819 - 1822. 1822 is date on gravestone. They went under name John White and Catherine Root in Vermont. He also used name Nelson Lablanc. Any help finding their marriage and his parents would be a great help.
