Someone has done some creative translating. The record in Drouin shows that Marie Louise Sauvage was the daughter of deceased Francois Sauvage & Marie Louise Moette. Her husband was Francois Caissie dit le Dragon. The word "sauvage" means wild, uncivilized and sometimes used in those early days in reference to the native peoples. Since you have the date and location Dot, this should be an easy find for you. Go to www.familysearch.org Select - Search Select - Canada Select - "Quebec, Catholic Parish Registers, 1621-1979" Select - "Browse through 1,398,885 images" Select - "Sainte-Geneviève-de-Berthier" Select - "Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1859-1871" Note - there are 618 images for the entries in this time frame and the first entry for 1859 starts in August. Go to the image and change the number there to 100 and you'll see that it takes you to September 1861. You can advance using the small arrows next to the image space. Note - The entries in familysearch.org are often easier to read than in Ancestry and it is the same info as Drouin Collection. Cheers! Thank you Renee and Doreen. Apologies for having worded my request poorly. I know that Charles and Ursule had sons Francois and Joseph. PRDH has no info on them past baptism. What I'm trying to source, is proof that these are the same men who were in New Madrid.
