I a have found 2 different  sets of parents. date that are way off. the couple I am tracing are from St-Basile, Madawaska, New Brunswick, yet I find a marriage for a couple in St-Louis, Kamouraska. in 1764, yet Louis is said to have been born abt 1757. 2 kids born 1764 & 1765 in Kamouraska. the others abt 1783-84 in Madawaska. and marrying there. Any help greatfully accepted. To make matters worse Louis is sometimes a Consigny and other times a Sansfacon Selma

    3. I asked my cousin Yvon if he could comment on some messages that included a Marie Crete and his reply follows: Joyce ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Yvon Crête <y.crete@videotron.ca> Date: Thu, May 1, 2014 Hi Joyce. - I just can confirm Renee's information: it was a catholic rehabilitee marriage following a first marriage in a protestant ceremony held 25 years before. This information was written in the catholic St. Alphonse marriage registration. Robert Clermont and Vitaline Périard married in March of 1886 rather than May as being written by Jack Leclair. Their son Pierre Clermont was born in 1864 or 1865, and was probably registered in a protestant church. Regards. Yvon Crête Mail: y.crete@videotron.ca Web: http://pages.videotron.com/ycrete/ *From:* Joyce Crete <ivyfrances@gmail.com> *Sent:* Wednesday, April 30, 2014 6:15 PM Hi Yvon some information involving a Marie Crete. Would you be able to add any other information we could pass along Joyce Looking for the DOM and any other information for Robert Clermont and Vitaline Périard/Périllard. BMS has a date of 1886-05-25 at St-Alphonse, Hawkesbury, Ont. But, their(?) son, Pierre married Marie Crete on 1892-06-27. (6 yrs old?) Is this Robert's second marriage? St-Alphonse's records in that time frame were unreadable or missing.. Could someone check on Ancestry for me, please? Thanks in advance, Jack Leclair Hi Jack I found that 1886 marriage record. It was a rehabilitee marriage. The couple had been married for about 25 years in a protestant ceremony. The first marrige was about 1861 Sending you the record separately. Good luck Renee ~

    3. Just a note on some research I've been doing on this lady and her relatives. She is said to have been born abt 1604 in Courgeon, Mortagne, Perche, France to Pierre Mallet or Maillet and Jacqueline Liger or Leger, according to page 136 in Jette's genealogical dictionary. However, I have found on Denis Beauregard's page (francogene) that the town is actually Courgeoût, which is less than 5 km from St-Langis-des-Mortagne, where she is said to have married Marin Boucher before 1630 (PRDH and Fichier Origine) or 29 Mar 1629 in unsourced online family trees or maybe in 1628. Her mother Jacqueline Liger or Jacquette Leger was born in Courgeoût, maybe around about 1580, where she married first Mathry Noé before 1596 when their first child Barbe was baptized 13 Apr 1596, their second Jean 18 Jan 1600 & buried 1 Jan 1616. They may have had two other children whose baptismal dates are not given where the names are found. Mathry was buried 10 Feb 1601 at Courgeoût according to Beauregard. Jacqueline or Jacquette next married Pierre Mallet about 1603 in Courgeoût, with the unproven date of 13 March 1602. Besides daughter Perrine they had a daughter Lienarde baptized 19 Sep 1609 and son Etienne baptized 5 Jul 1613 Courgeoût. Pierre seems to have adopted Barbe and Jean, as they are found in some trees under the surname Mallet. While a goodly bit of information is out there, it has to be entered judiciously into our databases, with sources given, whether proven or not. I use Legacy Family Tree, and they have the best way to do this that I have found, allowing for the possibility of more than one set of parents until one or the other has been proven completely impossible, and so on. I love puzzles and mysteries, and my retirement has been full of both since I caught the genealogy bug! Patricia

    1. [Q-R] O-T ... Yes, always check for lumps, sores, and severe headaches, etc.
    2. Ms Betty Fredericks
    3. Hi Doreen, I hope it is a simple, "day" surgery you are scheduled for. I'm 69, and have my annual Mammo's.     And the doctors a few yrs. ago saw "a little tiny thing" to keep an eye on.   Well, 2 yrs. ago that "little tiny thing" got a tiny bit bigger."     A "biopsy" showed  "pre-cancer" and that "little, tiny thing" was removed.   Two "day" surgeries and I'm healthy - in that area ! Also a reminder for people "over 60" to have your annual-physicals.    ~5 yrs. ago hubby was found to have "early-stage Prostate cancer.    It was treated, and he is healthy now - in that area. And, have someone check your back -- and backside -- for moles that just don't look right !      I have 2 neighbors - both dealing with Melanoma -  cancer on their scalp.   The man next door ~77, the man across the street ~74 has his son in his 30's dealing with it -  and his does not look good for him. And, I think I might have mentioned my husband's "severe headache"  3 1/2 yrs. ago.    He doesn't like doctors and didn't want to get it checked out.   Since he never got headaches, I .insisted.    Early the next morning, after a test, the doctor called and said,   "GET YOUR HUSBAND TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM --- NOW !!!     He has a Brain Aneurysm - a large one !"     We got in the car and drove to the local hospital;  they only took 20 min. to put him in an ambulance and send him to a large Boston hospital.     He was one of the "damn lucky" ones and survived the 9 hrs. of Brain surgery. ......  To add a little genealogy to this,  how lucky we are - to be living after 2000.    How many of our ancestors - "dropped dead" or  suffered for months because of a health problem that couldn't be fixed. Betty             (near Lowell, MA, USA) (3 ties to Canada:    KERR / HENDERSON in P.Q.,   LEWIS / CORKILL - BHC - in N.S., and  KIDDER / WILKINS in N.B.)
